So...Who does A&M pitch tonight?

I still think A&M's best chance to get to Omaha may be through Coral Gables and Gainesville.

However, what do they have left to put on the mound at 6:00 PM tonight?

Loux pitched 8 innings and 129 pitches Friday night. I guess he might be good for 1-2 innings.

Stripling had 3 horrid innings Saturday; followed by Fleece's 3.

Sunday, Ehlert pitched 4 1/3, Wacha got roughed up in 5 1/3 against Miami, and Minks threw 1 2/3.

Stilson threw 122 pitches in 6 1/3 innings yesterday...he's cooked, maybe except for 1-2 batters.

The way I see it, they come back with Minks, and Stripling, with Fleece and Ehlert. Loux and Stilson might be available for 1-2 outs each.

The thing is, no matter how bad the pitching has been used up for A&M, I think Miami is even worse shape. Maybe Slotback can help us out on this...

Just announced that Stripling will start. Then all hands are on deck with the probable exception of Loux.

As is well known at the end of a tournament, all arms are available for possible 1-2 batters. Even Stilson in the 9th.

The talking heads on espn were dissing the ags for pitching Stilson again in game 2 yesterday and referred to the 25 inning classic Texas and BC had last year. One dufus even said, "yeah, and Austin Wood just went on the disabled list, that tells you something about that!!" Huh? A year later he goes on the disabled list because he tossed 169 pitches 12 months ago in a game? These guys never cease to amaze me.

That said, I suspect Miami will make it a non issue and Stilson won't be needed. He was a warrior yesterday.
